I first saw Nathan's work at the 2009 Chicago SOFA exhibit. It was my favorite of the 100 plus exhibitors.
To create his work Nathan starts off with a sheet of copper and then uses a variety of chemicals, oxides, nitrates, and acids to get the colors, texture, and effects he his looking for. To read more about his process visit his patina info page on his website.
